Boy Scout Auction with Todd Blackinton

KPVI News Director and evening anchor Todd Blackinton will act as Master of Ceremonies for the Grand Teton Council’s 15th Annual Holiday Auction tonight at the Red Lion Hotel in Pocatello. The annual holiday event is the Council’s largest fundraiser, supporting programs serving 20,000 youth in the region.

“I was honored to be asked,” said Blackinton. “I was a Boy Scout, and the lessons I learned in Scouting have served me well as an adult. And Scouting’s more relevant, and more needed, than ever. Integrity, character, leadership – that’s what young people learn in Scouting. I’m just happy to help, particularly with such a wonderful event.”

The Grand Teton Council’s Annual Holiday Auction has grown every year, both in attendance and in the number and variety of items offered for bid. The auction this year will feature live music during the dinner and silent auction phases of the evening.

During the live auction, attendees will have an opportunity to bid on major items, including a Polaris 4-wheeler and double trailer, a Disneyland vacation package, a Polaris snowmobile, Jackson Hole winter and summer vacation packages, and a snow blower. In addition, this year’s silent auction will feature more than 600 items.
