Sum­mary
River­bend Com­mu­ni­ca­tions, East Idaho’s lead­ing five sta­tion radio group, seeks an enthu­si­as­tic, highly moti­vated Account Exec­u­tive to sell com­mer­cial adver­tis­ing time – broad­cast and online – and events to local busi­nesses and adver­tis­ing agencies.

The right can­di­date must pos­sess a strong desire to work hard, inno­vate and suc­ceed by hit­ting per­sonal and com­pany goals.

Pri­mary Posi­tion Respon­si­bil­i­ties:
Han­dle out­side sales calls
Prospect cus­tomers and lead gen­er­a­tion
Attract and close adver­tis­ers to sell prod­ucts and ser­vices via radio, online, print and events
Pro­vide input on sales pro­mo­tion ideas to sales man­age­ment
Retain cur­rent busi­ness and develop new busi­ness con­tacts
Present marketing/advertising ideas to area busi­nesses.
Sell com­mer­cial adver­tis­ing time and other sta­tion prod­ucts to local adver­tis­ers
Attain bud­geted rev­enue goals through effec­tive solic­i­ta­tions, pro­mo­tions and ser­vice
Under­stand the busi­ness objec­tives and adver­tis­ing strate­gies of clients and find ways to help them achieve their objec­tives through effec­tive advertising

Min­i­mum Require­ments:
Col­lege degree in a related field, or equiv­a­lent
Strong orga­ni­za­tional, writ­ten and pre­sen­ta­tion skills
Basic com­puter skills a must
Com­pet­i­tive, ener­getic and self-starter
Abil­ity to over­come objec­tions
Out­side media sales expe­ri­ence pre­ferred but not required
Enjoy a fast pace envi­ron­ment and strong desire to win
Pro­fes­sional appear­ance is required
Cre­ative, idea-generating mind set
An excep­tion­ally pos­i­tive atti­tude with a relent­less “get it done” work ethic
