Is this hair color ok?

Rylee is a 15 year old 9th grader in Utah.  Her school has a dress code that states “Hair, includ­ing beards, mus­taches and side­burns, should be groomed so that it is neat and clean. Hair color must be a nat­u­rally occur­ring color; i.e. red, brown, black, blonde.”

The Vice Prin­ci­pal stopped Rylee in the hall and told her that her hair color, in the light, appeared to be a pink­ish pur­ple, and that Rylee would need to dye her hair before she would be allowed back in class.

Do you think that hair is too extreme for school?
