Mike & Liza's Marriage Ref: Are Pets Part Of The Family

Poor Kitty

Dear Mike & Liza,

My husband treats our cat like a second class citizen.  He won’t let the cat sleep in our bed, or even have a bed in the living room because he says it’s an eyesore.  He won’t fill the food dish because he says the cat will find something to eat outside.  And he doesn’t want the litter box in the house, only in the garage.

I think pets should be treated like one of the family.  I’d like the cat to sleep in our bed, and the litter box in the laundry room where it’s warm.  How can I talk some sense into my husband?

Suzanne, Rexburg
