Dear Mike & Liza,

Our dog keeps eat­ing non edi­ble things.  Trees…leashes…kids toys.  She has had 2 surg­eries to remove these items from her stom­ach and intestines.  I think she’s done it again.  I want to tell my hus­band, enough is enough, and gen­tly and humanely have the vet put her to sleep.  My hus­band never stops writ­ing the checks.  Yes, she’s a part of the fam­ily, but she’s a pet.  I have human expenses to think about.  Is there a limit on what we spend on the life of our pet?
