Dear Mike & Liza,
My husband wanted a dog. We discussed it and decided it just wasn’t the right time to add a dog to our family. The following weekend, his parents gave him…you guessed it…a puppy.
I was flabbergasted! My sister-in-law told me his family had a little talk about how I “wouldn’t let him” have a pet, and they thought that was just terrible. So his parents went out and got him a puppy!
I want to take the dog, drop it off at their house and drive away. He says we have to keep the dog and be cheerful about it so his parents never know how angry I am.
They don’t respect me. Why should I respect them?
