150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE U.S. MEDAL OF HONOR-March 25th

Though cre­ated in 1861, the high­est mil­i­tary honor the United States has to offer made its offi­cial debut in 1863 when the United States Depart­ment of War awarded it to Union Army sol­dier Jacob Par­rott.
